Who We Are & About the Herd

Welcome to FSF Dairy Goats

We're glad that you found us on the web. Please take a look at our herd, scroll around our planned breedings and sales list and enjoy learning more about our farm. We welcome your inquiries and questions!

We are anxiously awaiting kidding season 2022! If there is something that interests you, please let us know. We hope you are staying safe and healthy.

We (Laura & Chris Kieser) raise Saanen dairy goats in central Minnesota, with the goal of having a herd of consistent, hard working, productive does, with larger more rugged body styles, who prove themselves over time with milk records, linear appraisal scores, progeny and in the show ring.

We are members of the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA), the National Saanen Breeders Association, the Minnesota Dairy Goat Association (MDGA), and Minnesota Farm Bureau. We participate in many ADGA performance programs including the ADGA Plus program which means that our herd is on official DHIA milk test & participates in the ADGA linear appraisal program as well as DNA typing. We have worked diligently to improve our general appearance scores while still maintaining the strong body types we love so much. We attend shows locally and regionally from spring through fall, and have shown at 5 ADGA National Shows since 2013.

Interested in adding a FSF animal to your herd?
If you are interested in an animal from our herd, please contact us. We will not be taking reservations, in the traditional sense, for 2022. Instead, we will maintain an interest list, and contact those interested after we have had a chance to evaluate kids or milking animals for sale.

Outside of the farm we both have full-time careers. Laura works with an agricultural testing laboratory and Chris works in an environmental testing lab. The goats are Laura's passion project, and have been since she was a teenager. With a break for college and graduate school, then finding Chris and making a life together, Laura knew she needed goats in her life again. In 2004, we found our property and forever home near the Minnesota River, and Four Seasons Farm (FSF) began. Chris is the labor and Mr. Fix-It around the farm and on the road when going to shows.

Our milk is used to feed kids of course, but after the kids are weaned, we use the milk to feed Holstein bull calves that we purchase and raise from a local dairy farm. Then in late November, those calves are sold by the quarter to those looking for smaller meat cuts for their freezer. If you are interested in beef for your freezer, drop us a line.
